HBCyoU Dolls is the first-ever HBCU doll line available at major retail stores. Our 18-inch doll collection is designed to share the magic of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We aim to promote higher learning while exposing the rich history and vibrant culture of HBCU's. They are available online and select stores of Walmart, Target, Amazon and campus bookstores.
Brooke Hart Jones is the founder of HBCyoU Dolls, a doll brand inspired by historically black colleges and universities. Our mission is to share the magic of HBCU’s and introduce the concept of higher learning in children’s play. In 2022, HBCyoU Dolls partnered with Purpose Toys, a black toy start-up, to launch her brand in major retail stores.
Prior to starting HBCyoU Dolls, Brooke began a career in merchandising close to two decades ago. Most of her experience was spent as a toy buyer for a major amusement brand. This experience coupled with her passion for HBCU’s led her to create the brand. She credits her alma mater, Hampton University, for playing a significant role in her life.
Brooke Hart Jones is a Dallas native that still resides in DFW with her husband and two sons, her pride and joy.
